In November 2017, I received a surprising phone call: a piece from my series 'Ophelia' had been nominated for the Kunst.nl Awards (now Art Awards). It was an honor to hear that my work was being recognized and would be part of this prestigious occasion. During the awards night, held in the atmospheric chapel of the Amsterdam Hotel Arena, my work hung side by side with the beautiful pieces of other nominated artists.

It was remarkable to see how the work was received by the audience and the jury. I was overwhelmed and honored when it turned out that my work had won an award and was purchased.
