I am incredibly grateful and proud of this award. Proud of my wonderful model. Without her, the image would not have had the same impact. Her presence and spontaneity have definitely elevated my work to a higher level.

The award-winning photo is part of the series 'Flight of Imagination.' The series is about the power children have to live in the moment, adapt easily, and feel no limitations. This protects them from too many worries. It's the imagination that breaks down boundaries and the creativity that allows them to achieve everything they dream of.

As we journey through life, these gifts fade. The path to adulthood clearly imposes limitations. One adult still carries the necessary 'remnants' of these gifts, while in another adult, they have completely disappeared.

From the sidelines, I started photographing my children, hoping to capture their gifts and learn from what they show me. Perhaps, just perhaps, I will rediscover what I lost mostly a long time ago.
